Applicants must meet the following criteria as a minimum:
a) Be a graduating or graduated High School Senior, accepted and enrolled in an accredited College program or Institution of higher education.
b) Be willing to submit to the Board a personal resume and two (2) character references from non-family members with their applications.
Submit the following on the written resume.
Write a 250 - 300 word essay about how the education you receive in school will be of value to you in the future and how you will continue to educate yourself in the future. Tell us about the career path that interests you, and how specific classes and a good scholarship in general will help you achieve your career goals.

-What are your career goals?
-Tell us about a personal achievement that made you proud.
-Tell us about a mistake that you made and what you learned from it.
-Who has influenced your life and why.
-Have you taken part in extracurricular school activity and discuss?
c) Be willing to present an oral presentation to the Board regarding your written resume.
The Board will accept applications until January 31st of the current year proceeding fall enrollment. A determination and announcement of the Club's Award decision will be announced during the General Membership Meeting in March.
2. Program Operation/Guidelines:
a) A recommender who can write about you both as a student and as a person. Need to know your accomplishments and your contributions to your school and to your community. (This could be written by a teacher or principal).
b) The maximum Scholarship award to any individual will not exceed $1,000.00. The maximum scholarship awards to be given by the club will not exceed $ 3,000.00 in any given year, which could be divided up among all qualified persons applying, not to exceed $ 1,000.00 each.
c) Multiple Scholarship Awards can be made in any single year. However, no one individual can receive more than one year's maximum amount; nor can they receive Scholarship awards in the future.
d) The intent of the Club's award is to encourage qualified persons to continue their education.
e) The student must maintain at least a 2.00 GPA on a 4.00 GPA scale or the equivalent for the semester. The Award check will be issued directly to the applicant after the Board receives a transcript showing completion of a semester.
f) The student will enroll in a minimum Full-time course of studies for the semester/quarter. This is expected to be at least twelve (12) semester hours or the equivalent.
g) The Award will be presented at the March General Membership Meeting. The successful recipient and their family will attend this meeting to receive their award.
h) The Club need not make an Award in any particular year.
i) The results of the Board's deliberations and decisions are final. However, an unsuccessful applicant may apply again the following year.
j) The application process is outlined in the above Announcement section of this Proposal.
k) Amendment of this Scholarship Program's Operation/Guidelines will require Board approval.
l) Responsibility for the conduct of the Scholarship Program will be by the President of the Arlington Sportsman's Club; aided by a scholarship committee appointed by the President from the Board member volunteers.
